Thursday night is the last night of the Democratic National Convention, when Barack Obama will again accept the party’s nomination. His acceptance speech will be one of the highlights of this campaign. The LCDC has arranged to have a Watch Party at Finnegan’s Bar & Grill in Ashburn Village.

We’ll gather at 7 p.m. to hold our monthly meeting, and the business portion will be limited to about an hour. We will have Obama/Biden yard signs for members who want them. Also, the new 2012 LCDC t-shirts have arrived – just in time for fall canvassing and GOTV – and will be available at the meeting. U.S. Representative candidate Kristin Cabral will be there, as will State Senator Mark Herring.

Finnegan’s will have all of their tvs tuned to the Democratic convention, and there will be food and drink specials all evening. Catoctin District will be sponsoring appetizers during the meeting, and after the meeting there will be $1 draft beers and $5 appetizers, among other specials. Finnegan’s is located at 44050 Ashburn Village Shopping Plaza, near the Giant at the corner of Gloucester Parkway and Ashburn Village Blvd.
