LEESBURG, VA – Multiple community organizations have assembled alongside students, teachers, parents, and neighborhood leaders to show support for diversity & acceptance in Loudoun County Public Schools. “Loudoun for All” will be held outside the Loudoun County Public Schools Administration building at 3:30PM on June 22 with live music, community speakers, sign making, and more.
Through small-dollar donations, LCDC is providing local, safe, and accessible transportation via bus for those in the area who need it. Speakers for the event include Loudoun teachers, students, and parents along with local trans advocate Brynn Tannehill.
“This is the opportunity to show support for equity and equality for all students in LCPS. We want to show the School Board that we, as parents, neighbors and community members, appreciate that they are fulfilling the promises made when we elected them. Loudoun County must continue to strive for the acceptance and safety of all its children.” said Loudoun County Democratic Chair Lissa Savaglio. Other groups attending include Equality Loudoun, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia, Equality Virginia, the Virginia AFL-CIO, and Loudoun PFLAG.
