Loudoun Democrats Announce 2022 Reorganization Caucus Canceled
Reorganization Meeting to Proceed as Scheduled
The first meeting of the new Loudoun County Democratic Committee (“Reorganization Meeting”) will take place at 10:30am on January 8th. It will be held virtually. In accordance with the Call to Caucus passed in December by the Loudoun County Democratic Committee (LCDC), the caucus to elect members of the LCDC for the 2022-2023 term has been canceled because sufficient people applied for membership. The caucus to elect LCDC members has been canceled as fewer voters sent in declarations of membership candidacy than there were open membership positions available. All voters whose declarations of membership candidacy for the LCDC were received by the Reorganization Chair, Shelley Tamres, by 5pm on December 31st, 2021, are hereby elected into membership in the 2022-2023 LCDC.
The Reorganization Meeting at which LCDC Officers for the 2022-2023 term will be elected shall proceed as scheduled at the same time originally scheduled for the caucus: January 8th 2022 at 10:30am. All newly elected members of the LCDC should plan to attend this Reorganization Meeting and participate in the elections for Chair, Vice Chairs, Secretary, and Treasurer of the LCDC, and participate in the District meetings at which District Chairs will be elected. The meeting is anticipated to take approximately four hours. Members of the public who wish to observe the meeting may do so via Facebook Live.
