How Do I Vote?

Registration:

Loudoun County voters have several voting options. First, however, make sure you are registered to vote, which you can do if you are 18 or older (or will be on Election Day) and are a resident of Virginia and a citizen of the United States. Registration closes 22 days before every election. To register or update your information, click here:  https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation and choose Loudoun County as your location. Or, you can print, fill out, and mail or deliver a paper Voter Registration Application (PDF) to the Office of Elections, 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite C, Leesburg, VA 20175 (703-777-0380). Finally, you can register to vote at any Department of Motor Vehicles office, where you can also update your information. You can check your registration status at any time by clicking here: https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation/Lookup/status.

Voting:

Virginia holds at least one election every year. Besides voting in person (to find your polling place, click here: https://www.elections.virginia.gov/casting-a-ballot/polling-place-lookup/) on Election Day (6 a.m. to 7 p.m.), you can vote by mail and a ballot will be sent to you. Apply for a mail-in ballot here: https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation/Lookup/absentee. A witness signature is required. Virginia also offers early in-person voting beginning 45 days before each election and ending on the Saturday preceding the election, at several locations.  Click here to find locations and hours: https://www.elections.virginia.gov/casting-a-ballot/early-voting-office-locations/#Loudoun.
