NH Primary Shows Now is The Time to Get Involved in LCDC

Dear Loudoun County Democrats and Friends of LCDC,

I would like to ask you to think back to November of 2016 when Donald Trump was announced as the next president of the United States. I recall it well. We fought a tough campaign that year. Walking our neighborhoods and knocking on thousands of doors. Mailing postcards and making thousands of phone calls to our friends and neighbors. We did all of that with about 100 members in LCDC.

After the election was over, hundreds of people who were concerned about our country began showing up at meetings. We went from 30 people attending meetings at the firehouse to filling every seat at the Loudoun County Government building. Over 600 people joined us. I recall concerned Democrats, Independents, AND Republicans wanting to get involved to protect our rights, our freedoms and our American way of life. I will never forget a woman asking if people with a pro-life viewpoint were welcome, and everyone proclaiming YES.

We all witnessed the cost of those four years. From banning Muslims from entering the country, to banning healthcare rights for women and their partners. Children asking us for amnesty and safety instead were placed in cages. We know that another four years of Trump will be far, far worse.

With the results of the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary behind us, it is clear what is at risk this November. So I make the ask as simple as I can:

 Will you join us NOW, when it is much, much easier to protect our country and way of life? Or will you wait until after the election and try to do something once the crisis is upon us?

 I assure you that the democratically minded people of the Loudoun County Democratic Committee will be there both before and after the election. I would much rather not be doing crisis management. Join us NOW. Knock on doors with us NOW. Make phone calls with us NOW. Mail postcards with us NOW. Come to our meetings, NOW.

 I promise, you will have fun, meet caring people and with a little luck, avoid going back to the devastation of another Trump presidency.
