2nd Annual NoVA Labor Night

The second annual NoVA Labor Night at Segra Field on Saturday June 11th was a great success! More than 150 union families, community leaders, and elected officials joined the tailgate to enjoy hot dogs and burgers grilled by members of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters; to dance to the music of the Rockets; and to listen to expressions of support for labor from elected officials including Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton; Loudoun County Vice Chair Koran Saines and Supervisors Turner, Umstattd, Glass and Briskman; Leesburg Mayor Burk, Vice Mayor Martinez, and Council member Steinberg; and Commonwealth's Attorney Buta Biberaj. The kids were excited to go on the field, and were thrilled to meet Tori Huster, Team Captain for the Washington Spirit as well as national union president.
