Lissa Savaglio Stepping Down as Loudoun Dems Chair

Loudoun County Democratic Committee Chair Lissa Savaglio will step down effective December 1, 2022, to run for elective office in 2023. We thank her for her service.

 Deputy Chair Avram Fechter will serve as Acting Chair until January 5, 2023 when LCDC members will elect a new Chair. 

 Candidates for Chair must be registered to vote and reside in Loudoun County. They must also be members in good standing of LCDC. All candidates for the office of Chair must submit a Declaration of Candidacy, a Candidate Information Questionnaire plus a $50 filing fee by 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, to the LCDC Acting Secretary: secretary@loudoundemocrats.org or mail to LCDC, P.O. Box 544, Leesburg VA 20178. 

 A candidate must receive a majority vote in order to win election as an officer. The LCDC Executive Committee has determined that if there are three or more candidates, and no one wins a majority in a round of balloting, the lowest vote getter will be dropped from the next round of balloting. Floor nominations will be possible at the January 5 meeting.
