LOUDOUN DEMOCRATS BACK NAACP RECALL INTERVENTION

LEESBURG, VA - Chair Lissa Savaglio provided the following statement applauding the NAACP Loudoun Branch’s intention to file a motion to intervene in the partisan recall efforts against School Board Members Atoosa Reaser and Brenda Sheridan:

“For decades, the NAACP has been doing the work in Loudoun County to fight for ideals of democracy and elevate vital community issues. These sham recalls have been correctly identified as exactly what they are: just the latest strategy in a storied history of voter suppression.”
